• Application for Pastoral Candidacy

American Baptist Churches of the Great Rivers Region
  • Thank you for your interest in ministerial placement in the American Baptist Churches of the Great Rivers Region. In the Baptist tradition, congregations are free to search for and call their own pastors. In the American Baptist Churches - USA, judicatory regions assist congregations in this sacred task by screening/vetting ministerial candidates for pastoral ministry.

This application is for clergy seeking consideration for ministerial placement within the ABC - Great Rivers Region. Whether you're already ordained and/or endorsed to serve in the ABC-USA, or you're coming from another denominational tradition, all clergy seeking placement in one of our congregations should complete this application.

Completion of this application does not, in any way, guarantee employment consideration from any of our congregations. Those decisions are made entirely by our congregations' pastoral search committees. Rather, this application is used to help us ensure a potential pastoral candidate's qualifications for ministerial service in our denomination, informing the prayerful decisions of our pastoral search committees.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions about this application and/or our pastoral search process.

    Grace + peace,

    Rev. Dr. Rob Kirbach

    Associate Executive Minister

American Baptist Churches of the Great Rivers Region
