Welcome to the BandStorm 2027 application form (for residents in Portsmouth)!

Please note the important entry requirements before submitting the application: ALL members of the band must be aged 13 - 18 (Y9 - 13). If you are a young person applying, you may want help from an adult in completing this form.

All bands need to submit a video audition to complete their application within this form. You will not be able to complete this form without your video. A fully eqipped bandroom is available at the BASE Guildhall. If you require a slot to film your video in the BASE Guildhall please contact hello@thebaseguildhall.com before completing this form.

Video uploads must be 3 minutes max and no larger than 2GB. We will not be accepting videos with sizes larger than this.

Key Dates:

Deadline for application form: 4pm Monday 14th December 2026.

The Heats: Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th February 2027 at The Lens, Portsmouth Guildhall (you will be allocated a time slot for one of these dates)

Local Final: Tuesday 9th March 2027 at The Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth

Regional Final: Sunday 21st March 2027 at The Engine Rooms, Southampton

Please nominate a lead contact for the band - very importantly someone who is good at checking and responding to emails and communicating with the rest of the band members, and provide their email below.
