II. FAMILY, PARTICIPATION & SAFETY
⛧ SEIDIRWOOD SANCTUARY ⛧
MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION & CONSENT AGREEMENT
Three founding Houses. One Sanctuary. A chosen community built on family, trust, heritage, spiritual exploration and respect.
Seidirwood Sanctuary is a community guided by its established charter. We welcome people exploring Norse heritage, Celtic nature and witchcraft, occult history, the unexplained and many other respectful spiritual paths. Our three founding Houses—Obsidian, IronWolf and Nightward—are equal.
We are family-oriented and welcome appropriate family involvement, including children in designated supervised, age-appropriate activities with parent/guardian permission. Adult membership and this confidentiality agreement are for applicants aged 18 or older; participation by children requires separate arrangements and safeguarding protections.
Please fill out this application honestly and completely. Incomplete forms will be disregarded.
We take privacy seriously. Never enter anyone's private medical, mental health, financial or children's personal details into this application. Participation does not require disclosing sensitive history. Completion does not guarantee acceptance. Applications are reviewed privately by authorised Sanctuary leaders.
This form includes a confidentiality agreement that applies during membership and continues for FIVE YEARS after it ends, with proper exceptions for safety, lawful reporting, professional advice and personal rights. Please read before signing.

We are a family-oriented Sanctuary and warmly welcome members' families at appropriate gatherings. Children are not automatically admitted to adult member spaces. Parents or legal guardians remain responsible for their children; any youth participation uses age-appropriate spaces, supervision, and separate parental consent. Nobody should feel pressured to involve their family or disclose information about their children.

III. MEMBER CONFIDENTIALITY & NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT | PART 1 OF 2
SEIDIRWOOD SANCTUARY MEMBER CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT The parties are the adult applicant signing below (the Member) and Seidirwood Sanctuary, acting through its authorised community leadership (the Sanctuary). This agreement is intended to protect people, not silence legitimate concerns. The Sanctuary is a charter-guided, family-oriented community with three equal founding Houses: Obsidian, IronWolf and Nightward. 1. PURPOSE. Members may share nonpublic information in confidence, including highly personal stories, medical or mental-health experiences, financial difficulties, family circumstances and the presence or wellbeing of children. Trust requires that these details stay private unless the person involved gives permission or a permitted exception applies. 2. CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION. This means nonpublic information learned through Sanctuary membership or member-only spaces, whether communicated in writing, voice, video, private gatherings or shared records. It includes other members' names, identities, addresses and contact information; health, mental-health, financial and family information; photographs and recordings; children's information; private messages and member-only discussions; personal spiritual experiences shared in confidence; and internal community planning or restricted business. Information is protected whether or not it carries a 'confidential' label, when a reasonable member would understand it is private. No member is required to disclose any of these sensitive details in order to participate. 3. MEMBER PROMISES. The Member agrees not to disclose, screenshot for distribution, publish, record without permission, forward, sell, weaponise, harass with, or otherwise share confidential information outside the authorised group or purpose. The Member will obtain the relevant person's clear permission before sharing their private information, and leadership approval as appropriate for restricted Sanctuary business. The Member will use reasonable care to secure any information they are authorised to access, will not access restricted information without permission, and will promptly report accidental loss or unauthorised disclosure to Sanctuary leadership. Members must never publish identifying details or photos of children without the specific consent of a parent or legal guardian. 4. RESPECTFUL CONDUCT. Members agree not to engage in targeted harassment, threats, intimidation, gossip campaigns, doxxing, retaliatory sharing or deliberately spreading unverified accusations about other members. Genuine safety concerns and lawful reports are expressly protected under the exceptions that follow. Concerns should be raised respectfully through appropriate channels, without retaliation.
IV. MEMBER CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT | TERMS, SAFEGUARDS & DURATION 5. EXPRESS EXCEPTIONS AND SAFETY. This agreement does NOT prohibit anyone from: reporting suspected crime, abuse, harassment, threats, safeguarding concerns or other wrongdoing to Gardaí, Tusla, police, emergency services, regulators, lawyers or other appropriate professionals; making a protected disclosure where the law permits; accessing medical, mental-health, safeguarding or legal support; seeking help in an emergency; exercising privacy and data-protection rights; telling their own story without revealing another person's confidential information; or doing anything the law requires or protects. Members may also disclose information that has become lawfully public without their breach, that they independently knew or obtained lawfully without restriction, or that the person concerned has expressly authorised them to share. Nothing here creates secrecy about abuse, puts community reputation ahead of safety, or discourages good-faith reports. Retaliation against someone for a lawful report or safety concern is forbidden. 6. EFFECTIVE DATE AND FIVE-YEAR SURVIVAL. For an accepted adult Member, these confidentiality duties begin upon acceptance into Seidirwood Sanctuary or first approved access to member-only spaces (including any probationary member access), whichever comes first after signing. They apply continuously throughout membership. When membership or authorised member access ends, the contractual confidentiality obligations continue for exactly FIVE (5) YEARS after that date. The end of this five-year contract period does not remove any longer statutory privacy or data-protection obligations that apply independently under law. A departure date is recorded by authorised community leadership; a Member may request written confirmation of it. 7. FAIR USE AND DISCIPLINE. This agreement is not a ban on criticism or leaving the community. A suspected breach will be reviewed fairly under the current Sanctuary charter, considering evidence and allowing the member an opportunity to respond. The Sanctuary may restrict access or take proportionate action consistent with the charter and applicable law. Nothing here guarantees a particular remedy, penalty, or legal outcome. 8. PRIVACY AND RECORDS. The Sanctuary will restrict application responses, signatures and any private member information to authorised leaders with a genuine need to know, use reasonable security safeguards, and explain how and why member data is used and retained. Members should never disclose detailed medical, mental-health, financial, or children's information in this application. A separate privacy notice and appropriate data-protection rules govern data processing and member rights; the five-year confidentiality term is NOT an automatic five-year retention period for personal data. The Sanctuary should provide a way to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. 9. LEGAL RIGHTS AND INTERPRETATION. The agreement should be interpreted consistently with applicable law, including mandatory safeguarding duties, protected reporting, the rights of children, and data-protection protections. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining lawful provisions may continue where legally permitted. The Sanctuary's charter and community rules do not override law. 10. VOLUNTARY ELECTRONIC AGREEMENT. The applicant confirms they have had the opportunity to read the entire agreement, can ask questions before accepting membership, and understands that a typed or drawn electronic signature is intended to evidence their agreement. The five-year period following departure is a contractual confidentiality obligation, not a restriction on lawful reporting, personal safety or legal advice.
V. SIGNING & CONFIRMATION
I have read and understand the Seidirwood Sanctuary Member Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Agreement, including its confidentiality obligations DURING membership AND for FIVE (5) YEARS AFTER I leave.
*
I agree to respect members' personal, medical, mental-health, financial and family privacy; I understand this agreement never prevents lawful reporting, safeguarding, seeking professional help or exercising legal rights.
*
I agree to abide by the current Seidirwood Sanctuary community charter, respectful conduct rules, and the safeguarding rules for any child or family participation.
*
I explicitly consent to authorised Sanctuary leadership processing any spiritual or philosophical beliefs I voluntarily include in this application solely for membership consideration. I understand I may decline to disclose these beliefs and may withdraw this consent, subject to applicable law.
