  • The “Accelerating EV Charging Council Response Kit" provides:

    • A draft letter for response to the initial consultation phase,
    • Draft requirements for where new kerbside chargers should go to set you up for the second stage of consultation; and
    • High level information on approval requirements by state

This is designed to help you respond to the proposed roll out of 14,000 EV Kerbside charegrs by DNSPs and CPOs from 2026-2029.

We are also assisting the set up of long-term internal systems that are needed to respond to these sorts of EV charging approval requests via the following modules:

    1. Internal Council Capacity Building. Aims to define how EV kerbside charging will be delivered within council and clarify roles, responsibilities and processes.
    2. Financial Model Analysis. Assessment of delivery and revenue models for EV charging.
    3. EV Charger Mapping. An evidence-based approach to identify where chargers are most needed for community benefit and to respond to specific charge location requests.
    4. Community Engagement Toolkit. A shared set of materials to support councils to communicate effectively and consistently on the EV transition.
