    Whether you're looking to strengthen your fundamentals or sharpen your troubleshooting skills, this course will give you the knowledge and practical experience to better understand automotive DC electrical systems and tackle common circuit issues.

    Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to:
    • Understand voltage, current and resistance in automotive DC circuits.
    • Apply Ohm’s Law to everyday electrical diagnostics.
    • Identify series and parallel circuits and calculate total resistance.
    • Understand how voltage and resistance affect current flow.
    • Read basic electrical schematics and trace current paths.
    • Safely set up and use a digital volt-ohm meter (DVOM).
    • Perform voltage, voltage drop and resistance tests.
    • Interpret test results to identify opens, shorts and excessive resistance.
