  • Discover the remarkable diversity of qax mot Conservation Area on a guided walk with Kathryn Clouston of the Morrison Creek Streamkeepers. A dedicated local steward, Kathryn has been documenting the area’s wildlife and plants on iNaturalist, building an inventory that now includes an impressive 500 species!

As we explore qax mot and the upper reaches of Morrison Creek, we hope to see wild coho salmon spawning. Along the way, Kathryn will share insights into salmon lifecycles and the watershed’s headwaters, hydrology and biodiversity, revealing the connections between the creek, the surrounding forest and the many species that call this area home.

Learn why protecting this special place was a top priority in the Comox Valley Land Trust’s conservation plan, and how local stewardship helps safeguard it for generations to come.
