Ashburn Village Invasive Plant Removal at Pavilion Lake

Thanks to your hard work all year, we have made great progress toward turning Pavilion Lake into the first invasives free lake in Loudoun County!

Over the past few months, we've slowly worked our way around the lake, clearing Bradford pear and white mulberry saplings. Only about 1/3 of these plants at the lake remain. With your help, we can finish this month.

If you haven't volunteered with us recently, it's a great opportunity to learn how to identify invasive trees and bushes and use common methods to treat them. And you'll get to meet your neighbors and enjoy time at one of Ashburn Villages' scenic lakes.

Our final workday of 2026 will be Saturday, November 13 from 10-noon pm.
