The Mississippi Theatre Association is searching for a “Dream Team” of college students for the MTA 2022 Festival. This festival will be held January 13 – 16, 2022 at The Riley Center in Meridian, MS.
8 students who have aspirations of going into theatre, will be selected to assist the MTA Board and Staff with the running of this exciting state festival. Students will be required to work the state festival in one of the following areas:
1 - Executive Director Assistant / Awards
1 - Vice President Assistant
2 - Secondary / Community Theatre Festival Assistants
2 - College / University Auditions / Youth Individual Events / Theatre for Youth
2- Assistant Coordinator Assistants - Registration Set Up / Lunches / Youth Social / Playwriting Festival / Workshop Counts
Students who are selected will receive a one year student membership, paid festival registration, recognition at the awards ceremony, paid hotel (rooming with other Dream Team Members), meals, and a great experience and addition for their resume. Students not selected to participate in the Dream Team this year are encouraged to attend MTA 2022 as a participant or volunteer and to include that as a part of your application for Dream Team 2023.
Applications are due October 31, 2021 and the Dream Team will be announced November 17, 2021.
