TERMS:
By submitting this online order, you are hereby engaging in a service contract between you, the customer, and Angeline Williams dba Williams DocuPrep to provide a service to you. Williams DocuPrep is an independent contractor and any work done for Client will be as a "work-for-hire" basis and not as Client’s employee. As such, all of the attributes of copyright ownership and/or proprietary rights of Client’s submitted materials, including credit and control, remain with the Client.
You understand that there is a 50% down payment to reserve the block of time for your project due before editing begins. This amount will be applied toward your final editing cost. The deposit is non-refundable once editing has begun.
- Editing & Proofreading: Client is expected to supply text that has been fully edited and proofread. Williams DocuPrep will not provide editing or proofreading services and will format the book’s text as it is received. The Client is fully responsible for proofreading the book after receiving the finished Book Layout by the Designer to check for any errors.
- Approval and Signoff: Client must approve final manuscript in writing.
- Revisions: Service includes 2 free rounds of corrections or minor changes. Williams DocuPrep will do their best to fix any errors or changes in a timely manner. After 2 free rounds, additional changes will incur a charge of $1.75 per change.
- Client Representations: Client represents and warrants that the text, graphics, photographs, or other material provided by Client for the Book Editing project are owned or licensed by Client, and that Client is authorized to use and display such items in a book. Client shall be solely responsible for the materials and the validity of copyrights, trademarks and ownership claimed by Client. Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Designer and their affiliates harmless from and against any claim, loss, damage, expense or liability (including attorney's fees and costs) that may result in whole or in part, from any infringement or any claim of infringement, of any trademark, copyright, trade secret, or negligence arising from any of the text, graphics, photographs or other material provided by Client.
- Confidentiality: Contractor will not at any time or in any manner, either directly or indirectly, use for her personal benefit or divulge, disclose, or communicate in any manner any information that is proprietary to the Client. Contractor will protect such information and treat it as strictly confidential. This provision shall continue to be effective after the termination of this Agreement. Upon termination of this Agreement, Contractor will return to the Client all records, notes, documentation and other items that were used, created, or controlled by Contractor will during the term of this Agreement.
- Refunds & Cancellations: Once editing project has been received it is placed on the Contractor's calendar and work commences. Deposit is nonrefundable after work has commenced. If a Client wishes to cancel, they must do so within 72 hours of placing an order. Any work done at that point will be sent to Client.
