  • Please note that contest entry fees DO NOT automatically calculate. Please be sure to keep track of the number of individual ($5 each) and team ($10 each) contests your publication is entering. This information will be required at the bottom of this form, where you will be asked to enter it and it will be totaled.

    This form is for on-the-spot contests only. Deadline for entry is April 1 and payment must be received in the FSPA Office before convention, by April 15, or must be brought to convention check-in or contestants will not be allowed to enter.

  • Each publication may enter one student in each contest. Please type the name of the student competing in the contest. If you don't wish to compete in a particular contest, leave the field blank. Each individual contest entry is $5 per student.

  • Remember that these are limited to 1 participant per school (not publication), with preference to broadcast publications at your school. Please coordinate with other advisers at your school to ensure you are not exceeding this limit. Please type the name of the student competing in the contest.

    If you don't wish to compete in a particular contest, leave the field blank. Each contest entry is $5 per student.

  • Broadcast Team Contests

  • There are five Broadcast Team options. Each school my enter once in each category. If multiple staffs from your school are attending, please coordinate with your peer to see who will represent your school. If you don't wish to compete in a particular contest, select no entries. These contest entries are $10 each.

  • Judging and Proctoring

  • All advisers with students participating in the contests must judge or proctor or supply a judge or proctor. Please list preferences below for judging availability. You may not judge a broadcast contest your students are entered in; print contests are blind judged so this is not as large an issue in that area.

  • Calculate your contest entry fees below. Please be sure to record the number of individual ($5 each) and team ($10 each) contests your publication is entering. 

    This form will be electronically submitted to the FSPA Office when you press submit. You may want to print a copy of this form for your records before you submit it. Please note that mailed copies of this form will not be accepted.

    Once you register you will receive an auto-response that will include an invoice. Please make sure payment is in the FSPA Office no later than April 15, in advance of the convention. If you have any trouble with the form or do not receive an invoice email immediately, please contact the FSPA office at fspa@jou.ufl.edu
