This COM Event is specifically for those in leadership in presbytery Committee on Ministry.  We will be covering the following topics and will also meet with Sue Krummel, the new GA Associate for Mid-Council Relations:

·        Validated Ministry
·       Dismissal Issues
·       Housing Allowance and court rulings
 ·       Severance packages
·       BOP changes
·       Church dissolutions and property issues
·       New Worshiping Communities and relationship to COM
·       Electronic, Skype and Telephone meetings
·       Alternative Models for Ministry
·       Commissioned Ruling Elders
·       Bi-vocational Leadership
·       Creating a "culture of creativity" or an entrepreneurial spirit 

Each of the 11 Presbyteries within the Synod of the Sun is encouraged to send up to 4 representatives, including COM/COPM members, Stated Clerks, Executive/General Presbyters. Synod will cover the cost of room and board for up to 4 from each presbytery. Presbyteries are encouraged to send additional participants at an extra cost of $30 for meals and $45 for accommodations (double occupancy/per night).

Accomodations and transportation are being provided at the Holiday Inn Express, Las Colinas. Airport transportation will be pre-arranged with the hotel and basedon the information that you provide in this section.  Further information with regard to airport transportation from Dallas LOVE FIELD will be provided in future correspondance with those who are registered no later than one week prior to the event.
