• Honors Carolina Second Year & Transfer Student Application

  • Please provide the requested information in the format given below. Completed applications, including a faculty letter of reference, must be submitted to Honors Carolina no later than FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2026, 4:00 PM EST.

You should receive an automated response confirming your submission.

  • Classification:*
  • Were you a member of the honors program at your previous institution?
  • Note: Acceptance into Honors Carolina is competitive, as there are typically more applications than spaces available. Only a student's record after high school counts in the evaluation of an application. Grades are an important indication of a student's academic ability, and a student's course selection and academic load provide some measures of a student's motivation to seek challenges in the classroom. The written statement gives a student the opportunity not only to demonstrate her/his writing skills but also to explain how participation in  Honors Carolina would contribute to the student's educational goals. The faculty letter of reference will evaluate both your academic skills and intellectual curiosity. All of these aspects of the application are taken into consideration

  • Honors Carolina likes to keep parents and families up-to-date on what's happening in the program by inviting them to signup for our weekly newsletter and participate in the Honors Carolina Parents/Families Society. If you are a transfer student, you should request a letter of reference from a faculty member at your previous place of study. Such requests must be submitted on official university letterhead and made in time for the letter (and a transfer student's official transcript) to arrive at Honors Carolina, CB# 3510, 225 Graham Memorial, no later than FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2026.
