Interlibrary loan (ILL) and document delivery services are provided free of charge to PNWU faculty (including ACFs), students, staff, and residents.
Use this form only to request a single known work such as a book, audiovisual material, or out-of-scope journal article. If you need assistance searching on a general topic, please use our Literature Search Request Form.
Completing the Request Form
Before you fill out this form, please use our Library Search tool to verify that we don't have the item in our collection. Include as much detail as possible in your request, as articles that are difficult to locate or incompletely referenced may take longer to fill.
ILL and document delivery requests are usually processed within one business day of receipt, but may take up to two weeks for delivery, depending on the availability of the item. If you require rush service, please contact the library staff at 509-249-7745, or e-mail library@pnwu.edu. Materials will be e-mailed to you as a PDF file whenever possible, unless otherwise requested.
Notice: Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
