We are frequently contacted by people wanting to rehome pets due to changes in life circumstances: divorce, loss of job, birth of child. If you have to give up your pet, who will give him/her a home? If the family is separated (e.g. divorce), who will get the pet?
Remember - pets are an investment of your time and money. Can you afford to provide medical care, grooming, proper diet, shelter, exercise, etc?
Are you able to make a long-term commitment to care for your pet throughout his/her entire lifespan, which could be as much as 10-20 year?
Please list your current veterinarian and any vets that have cared for your pets for the past 10 years. (Include the name of the pet and the owner name associated with the records if different than yours).
