Below are the three types of refrigeration systems you can choose from.
  •     Remote Indoor Refrigeration System (Split System)

Indoor Remote Refrigeration Systems are split systems with an indoor condensing unit (Condensing unit is a single compressor system with a condenser coil and a compressor, used for individual walk-in coolers or freezers). These can be placed on the roof of the walk in cooler or freezer. The Evaporator is the second item which is part of the split system, these are the fans inside the walk-in cooler or freezer which in simple terms blow the cold air and takes the heat from inside the walk-in cooler and freezer and dissipates it to the condensing unit.

You will need a Refrigeration Service Person or Company to Install the System.

  •     Remote Outdoor Refrigeration System (Split System)

Outdoor Remote condensing models are split systems with an outdoor condensing unit (Condensing unit is a single compressor system with a condenser coil and a compressor, used for individual walk-in coolers or freezers). These can be placed on the roof of the walk in cooler or freezer if they are installed outside, the roof of your building, or next to your building on a the wall with a platform to hold it up. Because of that flexibility of location it can help you effectively manage the heat and noise generated by the refrigeration system inside your establishment. Evaporator is the second item which is part of the split system, those are the fans inside the walk-in cooler or walk-in freezer which in simple terms blow the cold air and takes the heat from inside the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer and dissipates it to the condensing unit.

You will need a Refrigeration Service Person or Company to Install the System.

  •     Self Contained Ref. System (All In One, Plug and Go)

These systems are all-encompassing in one main insulated metal box, they have the evaporator, the accessories and the condensing all included inside the one insulated metal box, most of the systems bring their own plug cord and all you have to do is plug the cord into an electrical outlet depending on the required voltage and amperage and set the temperature controls and go, there is no need to pre-charge the system with Freon or do any type of plumbing, it’s all inclusive. The air inside the walk-in is drawn up through the evaporator coil located within the insulated metal box housing, the self contained refrigeration systems sits on top of the walk-in through a factory made and finished ceiling cutout. A licensed refrigeration technician may be needed to fine tune the refrigeration system. These systems will sometimes seem to have a higher in upfront cost but when all things are considered your cost for installing a split refrigeration system versus these self contained refrigeration systems will be much less because the self contained refrigeration system is factory assembled, does not take up space inside the walk-in and it is less expensive in the long run.
