Central Lake Ontario Conservation (CLOCA) maintains a Natural Heritage species database that warehouses species information for the jurisdiction. The database is a digital tool that allows for the management of species information for plan review purposes, watershed management, aquatic resource management, Conservation Area management, wetland evaluations and monitoring, stewardship, education, and future watershed monitoring programs.
Species information is currently being collected for birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, fish, butterflies, dragonflies and plants. We would greatly appreciate receiving reports for sightings from any of the species groups listed, as it will help broaden our knowledge of the natural heritage of our jurisdiction. If you have sightings of interesting or rare species, please fill in the form below and click Submit when you are finished.
