Application for the Concentration in Healthcare Engineering and Patient Safety (HEPS)

In order to be accepted into the HEPS program, you must also apply and be accepted into the Industrial and Operations Engineering masters. You can find information on how to apply to IOE at http://www.engin.umich.edu/ioe/academics/grad/mse-admissions-planning.

Applications will be accepted between March 1 and June 1 for September enrollment. Acceptance decisions will be made on a rolling basis after students have been accepted to the IOE Masters program.

Provide a one to two page statement, explaining your background, your reasons for choosing an IOE masters, and your interest in healthcare.

Provide a brief (1 - 3 minute) video introducing yourself and telling us a little bit about who you are and why you want to join the HEPS concentration. This can be as simple as a video shot from your cell phone or computer camera. Alternatively, you can record some PowerPoint slides outlining your interest in the program. Feel free to be creative!
