NEW RADIO STATION FOR POLOKWANE

The City of Polokwane will soon experience a brand new radio station to be called Energy FM. The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa granted the community of Polokwane and the surrounding areas a community radio licence at the beginning of February 2014.

Energy FM is about empowerment of the youth and adults in the community about the available opportunities in the broadcasting industry. It will further engage the community on issues of unemployment, disability, service delivery, Elderly, health , finances, education and any other issues of common interest in the community.

Energy FM is an urban community radio station that will broadcast in the Capricorn district of Limpopo, covering Seshego, Mankweng and the City of Polokwane. Energy FM will help in information dissemination within the community and also assist SMME’s to access the airwaves

Energy FM will run auditions and interviews soon in the community to recruit presenters and staff.
