To help promote and encourage the submission of technical paper or workshop presentations, the following main topics are presented as a catalyst for ideas:
1. System Design - Papers and presentations developed for this topic should enhance the understanding of design concepts that lead to safe and dependable methods to construct reliable natural refrigerant systems. Academic studies, research topics, case studies and innovative approaches are encouraged to be shared.
2. Carbon Tracking / Decarbonization - Papers and presentations developed for this topic should enhance the understanding and encourage the use of techniques to increase systems’ energy efficiency through design and system control/data gathering and analysis. Demonstration of significant energy savings or carbon reduction may also qualify for various government and utility incentives. Sharing experience with these types of programs is encouraged.
3. System Safety - Papers and Presentations developed for this general topic should address the procedures, nuances, innovations, and consequences (positive or negative) of implementing and practicing programmatic maintenance and operating methods that promote safety and compliance with regulations.
4. Facility Management - Papers and presentations submitted for this topic should address topics that owners and operators may need to consider for conducting successful business operations and mitigating expense and downtime.
5. Heat Pumps - Papers and presentations on this topic should advance the understanding of appropriate application and design of heat pump systems. Discussion of practical applications, design parameters, and methods of construction and analysis are encouraged. Case studies are especially useful to demonstrate feasibility.
6. Introduction to Refrigeration - This topic is presented to encourage the submission of presentations that can be used to introduce students and other novices to the concepts, applications and advantages of natural refrigerant technologies.
