I agree to hold harmless and/or indemnify and defend Georgia Institute of Technology, the State of Georgia, and their officers, agents, servants, and employees from all liability, costs, or expenses resulting from accidents or injury to--or for the death of--any person directly or indirectly arising from my use or my permission, express or implied, to use the rental equipment.

    CONDITION OF GEAR UPON CHECK-OUT:

I understand and agree that I have inspected the equipment that I am checking out and that it is in proper working order.  Any problems that I see with the equipment are noted on the rental sheet.  I realize that I am responsible for the condition of this equipment once I sign this form.

    LOSS/DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT:

I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the equipment while checked out in my name.  In the case of loss, disregard and/or intentional damage to the condition of ORGT gear, I may be asked to pay for repair or replacement. I understand that failure to return gear or pay damages for gear may result in Georgia Tech's withholding of my registration, graduation or issuance of a transcript.  Additionally, I may be reported to a collection agency.

    LATE FEE:

I understand and agree to pay a late fee (the rental price per item per day late) if I do not return the rented gear on time (usually by 7PM Tuesday following the rental unless special arrangements have been made). Additionally, if I do not return gear on time, I understand I may lose rental privileges and may have other ORGT privileges/responsibilities revoked.

I understand and agree that whitewater boating is a dangerous sport and that I must use my best judgment when selecting rivers appropriate to my skill level and only paddle on rivers, sections, and at water levels that I have experience with.

Georgia Institute of Technology strongly recommends that all whitewater paddlers follow American Whitewater safety codes. (www.americanwhitewater.org/content/Wiki/safety:start)
