  • At first glance, you might thing " this is a little long - are all these questions really necessary?" I know, because I thought the same thing when we got our dogs! We hand-raise all of our puppies in our home with our children and love them, and we hope you love your puppy, too.

    Every family is different, and there are no right or wrong answers. We know many families have two working adults and we don't expect anyone to be a superhero and quit a day job just to be able to take home a puppy. Every puppy family has different needs, and this application helps us identify who needs what information and what homes might make the best fit. If you're a veteran poodle owner, we don't want to waste your time regaling things you already know; by the same token, if this is your first puppy or first poodle, we want to make sure you leave prepared for what life with a puppy may bring.     • Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Winters Wind Standard Poodles, but it does not guarantee you will get a puppy from this litter. . While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time. 

      We have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy. 

      We require spay/neuter not before 18 months.; unless we agree in writing for a change of age. This might seem hypocritical at first glance, but we have a take-back provision in our contract. Any puppy from our home always has a home here, and will never be at a shelter. After submitting your application, Winters Wind will schedule a phone call to discuss any questions. After acceptance of your application by Winters Wind; a non-refundable $500 deposit is required. You may transfer your Deposit to another litter if you choose.
