Each new student begins with a paid trial lesson.

Trial lessons are designed to:
1. Learn about a student's connection to music, their interests, and current learning needs
2. Offer teacher recommendations and teaching strategies
3. Determine student placement in our program or recommend a more suitable program/teacher outside of Play Music
There is no committment to enroll in our lesson program.

Each trial lesson is $63, which includes 30-minutes of instruction + 15-minute parent-teacher discussion by phone.

Please note, a parent/guardian/caregive must be present on the premises during the entire lesson.

Trial lessons are available at our studio, in student's homes, and online.

In-Person Lesson Precautions

This year we are resuming in-person lessons in addition to teaching online. Here are some protocols we have in place:

-All of our teachers are fully vaccinated.
-Teachers and students will wear masks at all times.
-No lessons will take place with any students or teachers that have any symptoms.
-Teachers will keep a suitable distance from students, i.e. not working side by side together at the piano or drums.
-For studio lessons, we will be running an air purifier (BlueAir 211+) starting 1 hour before lessons begin and through the end of the lessons each day, as well as keeping window and the front door open whenever possible.
-There is no overlap of students.

-Instruments will be sanitized between lessons.
-Students and teachers will sanitize hands before lessons.
