Thank you for you interest in joining the worship arts team at Christian Assembly.  The worship arts team exists to use our musical gifts to lead our community in heartfelt worship of our God of grace.

We are always looking for authentic worshippers who are qualified to lead the congregation.  This form is geared for those who would like to apply to Sing or Play an Instrument.

Please answer the questions below and upload a recorded demo (mp3, wav, aif).

To best help you prepare your demo, please read the descriptions below of what we are listening for:

Vocalist

-Your ablility to sing and stay in tune
-Your ability to find and keep your part (alto/tenor).  If you are singing alto/tenor you are required to submit a demo where we can hear you harmonizing with a melody with music.

Guitar/Piano/Bass/Strings

-Your ability to play in time (keep tempo, not rushing or dragging)
-Your ability to figure out what you should be playing (comping).  This is best demonstrated if you can submit a demo with you playing with a band or other instrumentalists.
-Your chord knowledge.  (Submit something that would give us a good feel for your skills.)

Drums/Percussion

-Your ability to keep time (most important skill)
-Your ability to play in control of your volume.  (Dynamics)
-Your ability to know how to play what is appropriate in different parts of a song.

Everyone

-Its best to submit more than one sample of your singing/playing so we can get a feel for how you would sing/play a fast/medium/and slow song. 

By clicking submit I understand that the minimum requirement for consideration to join the Worship Arts Team is that I have been attending a Christian Assembly weekend service for at least six months.  I have also completed a Partnership Class (or intend to).
