A. Session Fees
For 1-hour or longer sessions the client agrees to pay photographer a retainer of $50 at the time of booking to secure their appointment date and time. The deposit may be transferred to another session if given 48 hours notice before canceling your appointment. If client cancels within the 48 hours of their scheduled session the client agrees to forfeit their $50 retainer fee.
***For mini-sessions the client agrees to pay the full amount of the minisession ($175) to secure their 20-minute time slot during the minisession event. Due to the very limited nature of mini-session events all time-slots are booked on a first come first served basis, and will be reserved by full payment of the session in advance, this insures I do not have any cancellations or no-shows (which happened all the time before I started requiring full payment). Payments for minisessions are non-refundable, but can be transferred to a future session with us if canceled with at least 48 hours notice.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time slot, this gives you time to park and get situated before the start of your session. Mini-session time slots are scheduled back-to-back so please do not be late!If you are late to your photography session you will forfeit your time slot and will not be refunded.
The session fee covers the time and talent of photographer, basic retouching and creative editing of images, as determined by the photographer, and the digital images to be downloaded by client from a private online gallery at storybkphotography.shootproof.com
Additional prints or digital images may be available for purchase.
B. Images
Your images will be provided to you no later than 4 weeks after the session. You will be provided a link to your private gallery and instructions on how to download your images and order prints. Prints are always an additional cost unless there was a credit provided to you within the package that you purchased.
C. Location Costs & Fees
If there are any costs/fees associated with the location the client has chosen for their session, you, the client, will be responsible for those fees. The photographer will not guarantee or arrange payment on any location. Creative fee covers travel within 30 miles of Sonora, CA. Any location outside of these limits will be subject to an additional charge of $15/hr plus $.75/mile as part of the agreement.
D. Rescheduling/Cancellation/Illness
If an illness or situation prevents a photo session from taking place, client may reschedule their session at least 48 hours prior to their shoot without penalty. Should client fail to give 48 hours notice, or decide to completely cancel the shoot, this session deposit is forfeited and will not be refunded. If client receives a postitive COVID test within 72 hours prior to their session and provides proof then we can work out an arrangement to reschedule without penalty, provided I am given the positive results NO LATER than 24 hours before the date of our session. Photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond their control. To reiterate, sessions are non-refundable any/all circumstances, but may be rescheduled with proper notice outlined above.
E. Additional sessions
Additional sessions are determined at the discretion of the photographer. An additional session will NOT be given for poor choices of clothing, make-up, hair or weather related issues, if the client was late to the session, not prepared, or by not following the recommendations of the photographer.
F. Archive
All online galleries will be up and available for viewing, printing and downloading images for 60 days. After 60 days your private gallery will be removed from its platform. After 60 days there will be an additional charge if you wish to reopen your gallery and/or download and order prints.
After six (6) months, all images will be purged from photographer’s hard-drive, except as needed for promotional purposes, to be determined by photographer at photographer’s sole discretion. Photographer is not responsible for loss or damage to the digital files due to circumstances beyond photographer’s control.
G. Payment
All payments are due in full unless payment arrangements have been made. Orders will not be processed until payment in full is received. If client has arranged a payment plan, order will be placed after the final payment has been received.
H. Damage
Photographer is not responsible for the damage of portraits after delivery to client, including damage caused during transit by US mail, UPS, FedEx or any other mail courier service. Client assumes all responsibility for the safety of all portraits upon receipt.
