LOST PET REPORT
Use this form to report a pet missing from Burien, Des Moines, or Federal Way.

We understand that lost animals can travel beyond city boundaries. If your pet went missing in a neighboring community or near the border of Burien, Des Moines, or Federal Way, you may also submit a report to CARES. Please also contact the animal-control agency or shelter serving the location where your pet was last seen.

Submitting this report helps CARES compare your pet’s information with animals reported found or brought to the shelter. Submitting a report does not dispatch an Animal Control Officer or guarantee that CARES will contact you.

Please also:
- Check our Recently Found Animals AND Facebook page regularly;
- Contact nearby veterinary clinics and shelters;
- Update your pet’s microchip company with your current contact information; and
- Notify CARES immediately when your pet is found.
- If you are reporting more than one missing pet, submit a separate report for each animal.

Due to the number of reports received, CARES may not send an individual confirmation or status update. Please notify us promptly when your pet is found or returned.
