A. Session Fees

Client agrees to pay photographer a deposit of $75 at the time of booking to secure their appointment date and time. This is a non-refundable retainer fee that goes toward your session. (disregard if this is a prepaid session or session won through social media). A balance may be due at the time of the session and will be communicated with you via email prior to your session.  

Your session fee covers the time and talent of photographer, basic retouching and creative editing of images, as determined by the photographer, and a select number of images (will be based on which type of session you've chosen). Additional editing is available at additional expense to be determined by photographer.  Additional prints or digital images may be available for purchase.  Please be sure to review all pricing details. Pricing information can be found on the "Investment" page at www.somethingclickedphoto.com.  There are no refunds or exchanges of any kind due to the custom nature of portrait photography.

B. Location Costs & Fees

If there are any costs/fees associated with the location the client has chosen for their session, you, the client, will be responsible for those fees. The photographer will not guarantee or arrange payment on any location. Session fee covers travel within 15 miles of Harrisburg, SD.   Any location outside of these limits will be subject to an additional session fee to cover drive time/lost availability.

C. Rescheduling

If an illness or situation prevents a photo session from taking place, client may reschedule their session at least 24 hours prior to their shoot without penalty. Should client fail to give 24 hours notice, or decide to completely cancel the shoot, this session fee is forfeited and will not be refunded. Photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond their control.

D. Re-shoots / Refunds

Re-shoots are determined at the discretion of the photographer. Re-shoots and refunds will not be given for poor choices of clothing, make-up, hair, behavior of clients or clients children, or weather related issues, or by not following the recommendations of the photographer.

E.  Your Session

Studio sessions are conducted at my home studio located at 711 Teddy St, Harrisburg SD 57032

All other sessions may at the studio or at an agreed upon outdoor location.  Communication via phone or email will happen prior to the session date to determine the location.

Please be prompt for your session.  I schedule around best lighting times.   Arriving late to your appointment will result in lost session time.  If you are running late, please let me know.  Your session may need to be rescheduled if you arrive over 20 minutes after our scheduled start time for full sessions and over 10 minutes late for mini-sessions.  If you fail to show for your scheduled appointment or your session has to be rescheduled due to tardiness, an additional $50 deposit will be required to reschedule.

If you have not already, please review samples of my work to make sure that my style of photography and editing is a good fit for you (these can be seen on my website at www.somethingclickedphoto.com or facebook.com/somethingclickedphotography).  When you book with me, you are giving me full reign over session styling and artistic editing of photos.  I will be choosing the best of the images to edit and present to you so if you see anything that you don’t care for during the session, PLEASE speak up.  It won’t hurt my feelings as I want to make sure I’m providing you with pictures that you will love.

F. Archive

After six (6) months, all images will be purged from photographer’s hard-drive, except as needed for promotional purposes, to be determined by photographer at photographer’s sole discretion. Photographer is not responsible for loss or damage to the digital files due to circumstances beyond photographer’s control.

G. Payment

All payments are due in full unless payment arrangements have been made. Orders will not be processed until payment in full is received. If client has arranged a payment plan, order will be placed after the final payment has been received.  Something Clicked Photography accepts cash, check or credit card/PayPal. Returned checks are subject to a $50 return check fee.  Client assumes responsibility for any and all collection costs and legal fees incurred by Something Clicked Photography in the event of enforcement of this contract becomes necesary.

H. Digital Images

Digital images will be delivered as JPEG files through a link to download the images to your computer.  If available, additional digital images may be purchased from your gallery at the cost of $40 each.  The same restrictions on the print release will adhered to additional digital images.  Something Clicked Photography does not release unedited images or RAW files to clients - no exceptions.

I. Gallery/Ordering

Within 30 days from the session date, the Photographer will notify the Client of the completion of their proofs.  The private online gallery will be available 14 days only unless prior arrangements have been made.  The gallery will be removed on the 15th day.  There is a $50 fee for each request for the gallery to be re-hosted.  All images in the gallery are chosen by professional opinion from photographer. 

J. Damage

Photographer is not responsible for the damage of portraits after delivery to client, including damage caused during transit by US mail. Client assumes all responsibility for the safety of all portraits upon receipt.

K. Model Release

I hereby give to Something Clicked Photography the absolute and irrevocable right and permission with respect to the photographs that he/she has taken of myself and/or my minor child in which he/she may be included with others:

a) To copyright the same in the photographer’s name or any other name that he/she may select;

b) To use, re-use, publish and re-publish the same in whole or in part, separately or in conjunction with other photographs, in any medium now or hereafter known, and for any purpose whatsoever, including (but not by way of limitation) illustration, promotion, advertising and trade, and;

I hereby release and discharge photographer from all and any claims and demands ensuing from or in connection with the use of the photographs, including any and all claims for libel and invasion of privacy.

L. Liability

Photographer is not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. Client(s) will be responsible for their children and for themselves and release photographer from any claims against their person or their business.

M. Copyright & Penalty

Something Clicked Photography retains all copyrights to all images created during client’s session. Any digital images included or purchased will come with a print release for said digital files to print portraits for personal use only, using the designated print lab as written in print release. 
The print release does not allow publication of your portraits (i.e. entering in contests), selling or altering of your images without the photographer’s written permission. It is illegal to copy, scan, download, print, share, alter, or otherwise steal any image created by Something Clicked Photography during client’s photo session. This applies to "sneak peek" images, images posted in an online proofing gallery, blog, Facebook, or hard copy images. If client steals images via any method listed above, or any other method, client will be invoiced for the cost of EACH digital image client has stolen, at photographer’s current price per digital file.

Note from photographer: I work very hard to create images that reflect you and your family, while keeping in line with my artistic vision and creativity. I know you will want to share them and include a sneak-peek for that very reason. However, I ask that you simply link back to my blog/website/facebook page instead of right-clicking, saving, and sharing the image via your own page. I hope that you will respect not only my hard work, but the time, money, and dedication that I have put into training and equipment to capture these images for you. Please do not steal them.

N. Refund Policy

The Client(s) hereby agrees that he/she fully understands that there are no refunds or exchanges on purchases due to the custom nature of portrait photography.

O.  Studio Information

The Something Clicked Photography studio is located on the garden level of a basement.  You will walk into the main floor and to the left will be 6 stairs going down to the studio.  If stairs will be a problem for you, please let Staci know immediately and reasonable accomodations can be made.

Please note that Something Clicked Photography is a PET-FRIENDLY studio.  There is a dog in the Something Clicked Photography's home, where the studio is located.  IF THERE IS AN ALLERGY CONCERN, PLEASE MESSAGE STACI IMMEDIATELY.

It is requested that if you'd like to bring a pet to your session, to let Something Clicked Photography know ahead of time.

 

P. Session Requests

*No cameras/camcorders/any type of recording device (this includes cell phone cameras) are allowed during the session unless prior arrangement has been made between client and photographer, including a written agreement. The photographer will not continue if there are other cameras or video taping during the session.

*Session starts at the agreed upon time. It is strongly encouraged that client arrives 10 minutes prior to the start of session. This allows for any last-minute feeding, changing, and relaxing before session begins.

*Please do not bring any children not being photographed to the session.

*Please make sure hair is combed and face is clean and free of runny noses or eyes.

*Please avoid bring snacks or food to your session.  A recommendation for a 'bribe' or treat would be Smarties or Cheerios as then can be eaten quickly and without causing staining or getting caught in teeth.

*Please avoid eating or drinking colored food or drinks before session, as red and orange tend to leave a stain on the face and clothing.
