Before completing this application, please read the Healing and Reconciliation Seed Fund Criteria. and the following criteria for follow-up initiatives. The next deadline for applications is Friday, March 13, 2020. Applications submitted before this date will not be reviewed until the deadline has passed and all applications will be considered together.
This application is only for groups who have previously received a grant from the Healing and Reconciliation Seed Fund. If you have not received funds from the Healing and Reconciliation Seed Fund before, please use the Healing and Reconciliation Seed Fund application. If you have received Healing and Reconciliation Funds for a project and wish to submit an application for a follow-up initiative, please fill out this form.
An application for a follow-up initiative may receive up to $5,000. Project holders may receive funding for no more than three projects (the initial project, plus a maximum of two follow-up initiatives). Up to $10,000 of the Healing and Reconciliation Fund will be accessible for project holders who have received Healing and Reconciliation Funds in the past.
Successful applications will include the evidence that:
Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders involved in the first project want to continue to deepen their relationship.
The initiative has had some tangible impact on the community/communities involved in the first project.
New Indigenous and non-Indigenous partners are invited to become involved and accept the invitation—the circle is growing.
There is a commitment and strategies to draw in new leadership, particularly from young adults.
The initiative does not repeat the project but involves new activities and a new audience.
New funding and/or in-kind sources of support have been identified—the initiative is not wholly dependent on the H&R Fund.
