  • WCDH RESIDENCY POLICY

The Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow is committed to providing uninterrupted, undistracted writing time for all writers-in-residence. We have a strict code of conduct to protect this, including a policy of constant quiet except in designated areas.

  • FINANCIAL INFORMATION

The Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, supported solely by charitable donations from individuals, foundations, and residents. Actual costs, per resident, per night, at WCDH, are about $125; however, due to charitable donations, our writers-in-residence can stay at WCDH for as little as $95 per night (plus a one-time $30 cleaning fee). This rate includes a European-style gourmet dinner served five nights a week and a community kitchen stocked with the basics for breakfast, lunch, and weekend meals.

Writers who are able to contribute more than $95 per night make it possible for writers who cannot contribute as much to have this gift of supported residency time through our scholarship fund. Please consider making a contribution. Thank you.
