You will be contacted shortly to acknowledge the receipt of your application and to discuss further steps in the adoption process. Please be aware that we are all volunteers and work full-time, but will endeavor to respond to you as soon as possible.

FOR DOG/PUPPY APPLICANTS: Once your application is approved, you will be contacted to arrange a home visit. The home visit will assess the safety and suitability of the environment for the dog. The home visit is also the opportunity to see if the dog will be a good fit for your family and any existing pets. During times of high application volume, the entire adoption process (including home-check and the meet and greet) can take up to 4 weeks. We ask that you be patient. Above all, we want to make sure that both you and your new pet are the best fit for each other!

Please be aware that Saving Grace Animal Rescue of Maryland reserves the right to deny an application at any stage of the process without explanation.
