    Thank you for your interest in Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue. Our goal is to match great dogs with loving forever homes. We want to make sure the dog you adopt matches your families lifestyle, schedule, and is well suited for their new home. Mobile devices may not allow you to submit the application; please use a computer or laptop.
  • Please carefully review the dogs profile on Petfinder before submitting an application. If you don't have applicant requirements for a particular dog or puppy your app will not be processed. 

    Applicants: It is your responsibility to thoroughly read the application and fill out each question completely

     

    Please do not put in multiple applications.

     

    Below are initial requirements before filling out the Application: Please read carefully!

     

    YOU MUST BE at least 21 years of age and  be head of household.

    YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED IF YOU DON'T SPECIFY WHAT DOG YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.

    FOR THE SAFETY OF THE DOG OR PUPPY, households with children 10 years of age or younger must have a physical fence attached to the home with a door that leads directly into the yard.

    If you have an INVISIBLE FENCE and children over 10, the fence can only be used on puppies 6 mos. or older

    Depending on the safety needs of a particular dog or puppy; we reserve the right to require a fenced-in yard.

    IF YOU ARE A FIRST TIME DOG OWNER, and/or you have children 5 and under, your application will only be reviewed for dogs over one year of age.

    IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR A PUPPY YOU MUST ADHERE TO THE BELOW GUIDELINES.

    ALL PETS IN THE HOUSEHOLD past and present must be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and have a history of yearly wellness visits.

    When multiple applications are submitted on any given dog(s), applications are considered on a first come basis. The application that best suites the needs of the dog is given preference. If your application is approved, please do not schedule an appointment until you are ready to adopt your dog. Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue CAN NOT HOLD OR BOARD DOGS.

    PLEASE ALLOW 5-7 BUSNIESS DAYS FOR THE APPROVAL PROCESS. In some cases the approval process could be quicker.  Once approved, you will be asked to come to the rescue within 24 to 48 hours.  Please keep this in mind when applying to adopt a dog.

    Puppies: In the first six months of life, puppies need a lot of attention, care, and exercise.  Puppies younger than 10 weeks old won't be able to hold their urine for more than an hour at a time, and it's not until 6 months of age that puppies can wait up to 6 hours to go to the bathroom.  Your application will not be considered if your hours out of the house is more than the recommended time for a puppy.

    Please note: We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone. Please be advised that we will not adopt to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on the application. All children under 18 years of age must be in attendance during the adoption.

    Non refundable adoption donations are as follows, which includes microchipping and a martingale collar: (All donations are tax deductible)

    Dogs: Cash $395.00 (credit/debit card $420.00)

    Puppies: Cash $425.00 (credit/debit card $450.00) there is also a $75 deposit required; refundable after proof of spay/neutering.

    Purebred, designer breed and XL dogs: Cash $450.00 (credit/debit card $475.00)

  • Veterinary Contact Information

  • Veterinary offices require your permission to release information. When calling your Vet to release information ask them what they have on file for your pets. If any of the below criteria is not met we will not process your application. If you do not call your Vet ahead of time we can't process your application 

    When we call your veterinarian to inquire about your previous or current pet(s) care managament, it is extremely important for us to have your pets information exactly as your veterinarian has on file. If we can't verify your veterinary care, we can't review your application. 

    If you do not have a Vet please put NA in the fields below. 

    PLEASE NOTE: THE BELOW CRITERIA MUST BE MET ON YOUR VET REFERENCE FOR BOTH DOGS AND CATS.

    YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION OTHERWISE.

    • All pets in the household past and present must be current on vaccinations. Rabies vaccine is a law in most states. This includes indoor cats.
    • Records must show a history of yearly Wellness visits
    • All pets in the household past and present must be spayed or neutered

    If you take your pet (s) to another facility besides your Vet for vaccines please indicate that on the application.  If so, you will be asked to supply a copy of the certificate (s) of vaccine history.

    That all the house hold members are listed on this adoption application and that each member residing at this address has never been convicted of animal cruelty, abandonment, neglect, or abuse.

    That I am at least 21 years of age and head of the household, and that I am willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide medical treatment, proper nourishment, care, and indoor shelter for my dog.

    That if relevant, I have followed all the required rules of pet ownership set forth by my landlord or condo association.

    Yes, I am aware that my adoption donation is non-refundable. My donation is a gift that keeps on giving. By taking home my dog, I have opened up space and resources for another dog to be rescued from a "High Kill Animal Shelter."

    Thank you for completing our application. Your application will be reviewed by the adoption team. If approved; you will be notified via email or phone approximately 5 to 7 business days after submission. Due to the number of applications we receive; you will not be notified if your application does not meet the requirements of the rescue or does not meet the requirements of the profiles on Petfinder.
