Due to COVID-19, to protect our residents and our guests, Tours and Special Events on campus are currently suspended. Thank you for understanding!
We invite you to visit our beautiful Monroe campus! Church groups and Sunday School classes of all ages, WMU groups, school groups and families are always welcome.
Tours are available year-round, Monday-Friday and the first and third Saturdays, at 10:00 AM or 1:30 PM. Tours last about two hours and include our Historical & Archives Center, Frank "Daddy" Flowers Chapel, Brenda Hall Abney Children's Learning Center, Bill & Joyce Quick Food Services Building, and a visit to one of our cottages. Please provide adequate adult chaperones for underage children in your tour group.
Saturday Tours: Administrative offices are closed on Saturdays. Tour guides arrive on campus 30 minutes prior to Saturday tour times. Weddings and receptions are often scheduled on Saturdays and may preclude visiting the Chapel and Historical Archives.
Please Note: The Children's Home is a Foster Care Community. Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) policies require that we maintain the confidentiality of the children they place in our care. Please do not take photos or videos of children on our campus.
