Walking Buddy

Walking buddies assist our resident athletes around the course! We have residents in both power and manual wheelchairs. Manual chairs will need to be pushed around the course. Some power chairs may need assistance with driving their chair, others will require you to run with them! This is a hands on socially interactive job. At orientaiton and/or check-in we will provide you with an information sheet about the residents so that you will have topics of conversation.

*Please specify below your abilities and preferences. If this will be your first time volunteering for the 5k we ask that you attend an orientation session on Thursday, April 9th at 2:00pm or 6:00pm.

For this job we also ask that you are 16 years or older (15 years or younger must by accompanied by an adult.)

Cheer Squad

Cheer and encourage the resident athletes around the course! Cheer squads will be located at the starting line, finish line and scattered around the course.

*Great for groups and families with young children.

Medal Presenter

Volunteers will be staged at the finish line to cheer for, congratulate, and present medals to all athletes participanting.
