Pitch Mongabay stories about the Ocean
All applications must be submitted in English, and all final reporting will be published first in English. Please note that we are only accepting pitches for stories under the Ocean project described here.

Check the opportunities page for other topics on which we have open calls. We are not accepting pitches on topics outside these areas.

If you are proposing a story that is led by video, please provide a link to preview any footage or final videos in your pitch, if available. Please also note that Mongabay may not accept videos whose production status has already started. Later production status projects can be pitched but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Mongabay only commissions original stories that have not been published in other outlets.
