Join A Home Fellowship - New Groups in Hamilton / West Trenton
As you may recall during the State of Church Address, one of the areas we were asking the Lord to move in was our small group ministry of Calvary Mercer. Although wonderful times of worship, Sundays are just one part of the depth of relationship Jesus asked God the Father for in John 17 on our behalf — with Him and one another. We hope that everyone who calls Calvary Mercer their home church would be a part of a smaller group of believers that share life consistently. Well, the Lord is answering and two new groups have started, the Flansburg’s are hosting a home fellowship in Hamilton and the Rizzo’s are beginning one in the Glen Afton section of West Trenton. Consider being part of the body in this way — for encouragement, a place to use your gifts, and fellowship. You can find their information in the Instant Church Directory.
National Day of Prayer - Trenton City Hall on May 5th
The National Day of Prayer has great significance for us as a nation as it enables us to recall and to teach the way in which our founding fathers sought the wisdom of God when faced with critical decisions. It stands as a call for us to humbly come before God, seeking His guidance for our leaders and His grace upon us as a people. The time of the Trenton City Hall prayer will be 12-2pm. More info at nationaldayofprayer.com.
An Evening with Patti Height - May 15th at 6:30pm
Patti Height knows the destructive bondage that comes as a result of believing and living enslaved to lies and deception. As a teen, Patti turned to alcohol and drugs, and later entered into the world of homosexuality. In 2003, she was set free from the bondage of addiction and homosexuality, and is now committed to sharing the hope and freedom she found in the Gospel throught the ministry she began, called Out of Egypt Ministry. Join us the evening of May 15th for a time during which she will share her testimony and have a time of Q&A. This is a free event and you are welcome to invite anyone! Put it on the calendar! Contact Vicki Brzoza [email@example.com] if you would like to help during the evening.

CCMC Connecting Training - Sunday, May 1st (in between services)
What would it look like if everyone's experience when they stepped into CCMC for the first time was to be seen, welcomed, and followed-up with? We believe that this is every member's job at any church or ministry: To love the new person that has chosen to seek God by entering into our church family. Hospitality isn't just a job for the leadership, but a call to all who are in the family. It requires us to get out of our comfort zones, to be others-centered, and to risk "awkwardness.”
We want to invite you to step with us into this "new normal" of being hospitable by coming to a brief gathering on May 1st, in-between services. Here, we will talk about Jesus' call to love others, how to start conversations with people, and how to help new people connect to CCMC. If you have a desire to love your neighbor, come check how to get started! - Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info or just show up!
Need for Sound Board Technicians (Not as scary as it sounds...)
We would like to begin to start training some new people to operate the sound board on Sundays. This is a great opportunity for folks that desire to be part of the worship team in a unique way. Although the role is in- depth, it is very important and morevoer learnable. If you like the “techie” world and music, then contact Will and we will get your feet wet. We have great resources in training so you will be fully prepared to serve the Lord and your brothers and sisters on Sundays.
Need for Teachers for Children’s Church on Sunday
There continues to be a need for folks that are filled with the Spirit to help with the teaching of the young people each Sunday morning. If you have any questions about serving in this area or if you are ready to jump in, ask Pier Shea [email@example.com] or Tracy Tennant [firstname.lastname@example.org]. All areas of the ministry needs will be discussed, teaching, assisting, greeter, and even worship. Please feel free to stop by and make any and all inquiries.
Youth Outreach at Higgs Park - This Summer
”We as a church believe that the gospel (good news!) message of Jesus coming to die in our place for our sins is not just a message for us, but for the entire world. There are thousands of our neighbors in the Ewing area that need to hear this message. To do our part in making this message known in our immediate community, we will be doing a park outreach on June 18 at Higgs Park on Somerset Street. The outreach will include food, lots of fun, music and most importantly, clear presentations of the gospel message. We will have many needs for volunteers before, during, and after the event, but we want to invite you to be part of the planning process. We will be having our first planning meeting on Sunday April 10th after second service over lunch at Villa Rosa's in Ewing. If you are interested in helping to plan the event, please contact Kevin Tallaksen at Kevin.Tallaksen@ccmercer.com.

The Auxanō Series - Thursday Evenings in March
We would like to make you aware of a Thursday Night Teaching Series for 2016. We have named this series The Auxanō Series which comes from the Greek word meaning to grow up as seen in Ephesians 4:15 (We are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ). The meaning of this word seems to describe everything we are hoping these courses will become - a place where people can grow, augment, increase, become greater. Throughout 2016, there will be eleven separate classes each lasting 4-5 weeks with varying topics and teachers.
During the month of April, a new series is offered, featuring the topic of Serving.
Contact Will Lynch [email@example.com] or Dan Flansburg [firstname.lastname@example.org] for more information.
PLEASE SIGN UP ONLINE OR AT THE INFORMATION TABLE THIS WEEK!

Mid-Week Bible Study - Genesis
On Wednesday night we are studying through the book of Genesis, the first book in the Bible. Genesis is the book of beginnings. In it we see the beginning of the world, of humanity, of sin, and of the plan of redemption. As the book of beginnings, it serves as the foundation of the word of God. It is a wonderful book and we are eager to consider it together. Please join us on Wednesday evenings as we dig into the Scriptures together.
Whether you come prepared to participate in our stimulating discussions or simply to take in the study and conversation, we do hope you will join us. This study is held at the church office (1074 Parkway Avenue, Ewing) at 7:30pm.
