    As part of the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance’s Uptown Arts Stroll, the sixth annual Blooming Arts Festival is hosting an exhibition and festival of arts on

    Saturday, June 11th, 1pm to 4pm

    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building

    1815 Riverside Drive

    Visual and performing artists of all disciplines and all ages from Northern Manhattan are invited to participate!

    Artists interested in teaching a workshop are also welcome to apply. We are excited to utilize your expertise and ideas!

    The application deadline is May 11th.

  • Do you live or work in Inwood, Washington Heights, or West Harlem?*

  • If you are under 16 we ask that you have an adult present while dropping off/picking up work (for visual artists) or while rehearsing/performing (for performing artists)

  • If you are under 16, will you agree to have a parent present?

  • Visual Artists Only:

    This section is open to visual artist of all ages. 

    Visual Arts can include but are not limited to painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, collage, sculpture, installation, crafts, etc.

    Each visual artist is invited to submit up to 5 images of work to be considered.

    Please save each image as yourlastname_yourfirstname_imagenumber.jpg

    For example if your name is Jane Doe, the file name for your first submitted image should be doe_jane_1.jpg

    This section is open to performing artists of all ages.

    Performing arts can include but are not limited to singing, dancing, monologues, theatre, poetry, singer/song writer, choral, instrumentalists, etc.

  • The Blooming Arts Festival 2016 will be held on

    Saturday, June 11th, 1pm to 4pm

    As a visual artist, you commit to dropping off your approved pieces during the designated time, as well as picking them up promptly after the festival at 4 pm.  

    As a performing artist, you commit to being involved in the rehearsal the night before the event, as well as arriving promptly for your time slot during the event.

    Workshop facilitators commit to arriving early to the event and properly leading the workshop that has been planned.

    IMPORTANT:

    *Once your application is sumbitted, we will contact you with more information.

    *Please be aware that although we respect all submissions, this is a family friendly show and all work and performances should be appropriate for children. We will review all submissions and accept as many appropriate submissions as space and time allow. Unfortunately, we might not be able to admit every submission or workshop idea.

    *We will do everything we can to ensure the safety of submitted artwork, however we are not liable to any lost or damaged work.

    *Artwork cannot be bought or sold during the festival.  However, business cards may be displayed and we encourage you to network after the event.
