Your company’s need for a custom specialist service project is defined in consultation with Emergence. A Service Provider can be identified by your company to assist in bridging an expertise gap. Service Providers are required to undergo a qualification process prior to commencement of the project. If required, Emergence can suggest consultants based on our established network of qualified service providers.  Companies are required to submit an online application for Specialist Services to Emergence containing:

1.     Scope of Work

2.     Expected Deliverables and Timelines

3.     Project Costs

The project is reviewed by the Emergence team and upon approval (project scope and consultant) a tri-party contract between Emergence, the Consultant and the Company is issued. The contract must be signed by an authorized officer of each Party. Companies are responsible for informing Emergence of unsatisfactory performance by a contractor/consultant immediately.

Approved projects are managed by Emergence in consultation with the company until a satisfactory product is delivered by the consultant and the project is finalized. Specialist services are provided under a cost sharing structure between Emergence (50% of the total costs) and the company (50% of the total costs). Projects are limited to a maximum cost of $50,000 (Emergence share).

More than one project per applicant over the life of the program may be allowed where it can be demonstrated that subsequent projects are clearly incremental and that the company continues to grow.
