    The competition will be aiming at ideas and projects that tackle relevant challenges and their ability to solve societal and industrial problems.

    For this year’s competition will focus on

    1. Energy (Cook stoves and Renewable energy)
    2. Sanitation, Waste Management and Recycling
    3. Rural Education
    4. Health 
    5. Agriculture (Post harvest storage and Smart climate technology).

  • WHat are your skills set?

  • Team Formation

  • The competition aims at promoting interdisciplinary team forming.

    It is expected that teams will be made up of students from different departments but this is not a pre-requisite.

    Students who wish to participate in the competition should present one project and should form a team to work on the project.

    However, the number of students in each group should not exceed five (5), with not less than 2 Engineering students in the total number of members is greater than 3. 

    Also, there is an option of Team/Project matching with individuals interested in the competition but with no teams and/or ideas.

  • Online Design Classes and Resources

  •  The GESA Makers Faire competition seeks to introduce participants to Human/User/Community Centered design, the the user of the the final product or solution is involved throughout the design and making process. We also aim at helping applicant develop on-point ideas through clear problem framing and its approapriate solution. 

    To acchieve these, there will be a weekly online Design classes session for registered applicants. 

    This classes will be stage on Facebook Voice/Video call platform. (ALT Google hangout)

    Registered Applicants will be automatically be added to the competition Facebook group and Google Circle. 

    These  classes will take place in the months of June and July, from 17th to 8th July , Every Wednesday. 

    There will be 4 (four) sesssions. 

    Classes will take place from 6pm-7pm. 

    Please commit, with your team members to attend these classes. It results will reflect in the selection outcome.
