The Caroline Thorn Kissel Summer Environmental Studies Scholarship

Open to undergraduate students, graduate students, Ph.D. candidates, or non-degree-seeking applicants above the high school level at the time of application. Provides $3,000 to one or more successful applicants who must be either:

a) residents of New Jersey studying in New Jersey or elsewhere, or

b) nonresidents of New Jersey pursuing study in the state or its surrounding waters.

Eligibility is open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled in a U.S.-based institution.

REFERENCES: Two letters of recommendation are required to be eligible for a GCA scholarship.

Reference #1: One from your advisor on your academic progress and achievements, personal qualities, and qualifications for the summer program or project you have developed or selected.

Reference #2: The second letter should be from a professor familiar with your work and interests including information on the program or project you have developed/selected.

* If you have applied to a program but are not yet enrolled, please provide information on the program, as well as, confirmation of your acceptance. All applicants must comply with the educational and eligibility requirements of the Kissel Scholarship to guarantee its provisions.
