  • This form must be completed by the executive of the DGSA, and is necessary in order to have Departmental YUGSA councillors recognized.

  • Each DGSA must appoint 2 representatives to the YUGSA Council.

    DGSAs may appoint 1 additional councillor per 200 students enrolled in their department/program. For example, if a DGSA has 350 students, it will be entitled to 3 councillors: 2 base + 1 additional for reaching the first 200 mark.

    Student headcount is based on the enrollment numbers of the month of November (Fall Term) of the previous academic year as reflected on York's official Graduate Headcount.

    Appointed councillors may include the executives of a DGSA.

    Please do not declare more councillors than you are entitled to.

    DGSAs may appoint interim proxy councillors by informing internal@yugsa.ca prior to a council meeting, in case any of its councillors cannot attend.

    Please submit this form in order to receive your DGSA's Operating Grant Fund (OGF). Keep in mind the following:

    1. The OGF has its own deadline (November 15th) and all DGSAs should submit this form before the deadline. 

    2. While we encourage you to submit the OGF form alongside the DGSA registartion form; YUGSA will only proceed with processing the OGF after successfully registration of the DGSA.
