SSU Culinary Services provides donations to clubs and organizations throughout the year to help enhance co-curricular student programs. Four donations will be granted to clubs and organizations per semester. The maximum amount granted per club or organization will be $250 with a total of $1000 donated per semester for the Dining Donation Program.
Student organizations can apply for support in the form of party platters, catering trays, or product donations (water, soda, snack foods, etc).
Donations are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. The form will be closed once all donations have been granted for the semester.
Important Information
If a donation is granted a confirmation e-mail will be sent within 5-7 business days. Organizations are only eligible for one donation per academic semester.
Requirements
1) Club/organization must be chartered in the current academic year.
2) In order to be considered by the donation committee, an organization must apply for a donation 30 days in advance of when the donation is required.
3) A 1 page supplemental letter must be included in the application that describes how the donation will help promote co-curricular activities and benefit the SSU students (see below).
4) If approved for a donation the club or organization must display a small sign that states “Food donated by Culinary Services” at the event. This sign must be picked up from the marketing department at least 24 hours before the event.
5) The sign must be returned to the marketing department within 48 hours of the event.
6) Organizations will be responsible for placing their orders with campus Catering Services, coordinating delivery, and handling billing. Upon approval of the Dining Donation Request, a credit will be place on the account for the approved amount. Request amounts are limited to $250.
