After reviewing the criteria and ineligible requests, please complete the form below to be considered for a branch donation between $100-$500.
Donations Criteria
- Applicants must be First Credit Union (FCU) members in good standing for a period of one year or more.
- Applicants must be community-based/volunteer-run groups OR registered non-profit or charitable societies.
- Preference is given to applicants whose work aligns with our focus areas: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Environmental Sustainability, and Local Economic Development.
- Requests must not exceed $500
Ineligible Requests
- Requests for events or initiatives outside FCU service areas (Bowen Island, Texada Island, Hornby Island, Powell River, Union Bay, Bowser, Courtenay, and Cumberland).Requests where only one or a few individuals benefit.
- Requests for donations specifically for travel.
- Requests where the primary purpose of the donation is to promote a religious or political view.
- Requests where the expectation of the donation is reoccurring or for operational costs.
- Requests where the funds are requested payable to an individual (i.e., a payment cannot be made to an individual only to a community or business account)
