NAPSEC AWARDS NOMINATION

Nomination Deadline: October 17, 2025

The National Association of Private Special Education Centers is proud of the exceptional dedication displayed by our annual award recipients. The national awards for Educator of the Year, Related Service Provider of the Year, and Direct Care Worker of the Year are bestowed upon special education and adult service professionals through nominations by their respective NAPSEC-member schools.

Through the generous support of our partners and friends, the NAPSEC Foundation is able to fund the NAPSEC Annual Awards, which provides each awardee an opportunity to attend our national conference free of charge (travel/registration), where they are recognized and celebrated during an awards luncheon. 

NAPSEC AWARD DESCRIPTIONS

Educator of the Year

Presented to an Educator of a NAPSEC member program, including teachers and supervisors, in recognition of excellence and innovation in meeting the needs of children and adults with special needs.

 Related Service Provider of the Year

Presented to a professional staff member of a NAPSEC member program including clinicians and therapists in recognition of excellence and innovation in meeting the needs of children and adults with special needs.

 Direct Care Worker of the Year

Presented to a staff member of a NAPSEC member program in recognition of excellence in meeting the needs of children and adults with special needs.

Nomination Procedure

• The NAPSEC Board of Directors will review and rate nominations received.
• Each question will be rated from 1 – 5, with 5 being the highest rating.
• Nominees with the highest total will be selected for the award.
