    • ☆☆NOTICE RE SHAKERELY MERE WASH HANDS FREQUENTLY DURING AND AFTER VISITS☆☆
      The results of a recent test on the water taken after wildlife was found deceased have revealed severely elevated levels of blue green algae. Right now angling is not effected but we can not emphasise enough the importance of minimising contact with the water and thorough hand washing after coming into contact with the water or holding the fish.
    • Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID19, or who shares a household with any individual displaying symptoms, should not go fishing and should continue to follow Government advice on isolation.
    • If you have been asked to self-isolate then you should follow the advice given by your GP or NHS 111.
    • Angling to be undertaken in accordance with Government social distancing guidelines - these may change, you must be compliant at all times.
    • Anglers must follow current Government guidance on travel for the benefit of recreational activity.
    • All freshwater anglers must be in possession of the relevant EA Fishing licence.
    • No sharing of fishing positions (swims) except by members of the same household.
    • No sharing of fishing tackle or any other items.
    • No angler to fish within 15 metres of any other angler.
    • No keepnets or competition fishing.
    • Online and electronic day ticket payments to be made wherever possible.
    • Onsite shared facilities such as cafes and clubhouses to remain closed.
    • Fisheries unable to adhere to these guidelines should remain closed until further notice.
    • Bivvies are allowed providing they are purpose made for anglers or of a khaki or camouflage colouring, other forms of tents are not allowed. The modification of any peg or clearance of any area to accommodate
      bivvies is forbidden.
