The Minnesota Keystone Committee will recognize three businesses that have done something extraordinary to make a difference within their community.
In 1976, members of the Minneapolis business community established the 5% Club, an organization that recognized for-profit companies that gave a percentage of their pre-tax earnings back to the community. Now in its 48th year, the Minnesota Keystone Program grew from this original program and today honors companies across Minnesota that give at least two percent of their pre-tax earnings back to the community. Contributions may include any combination of volunteer time, in-kind donations, or cash donations.
Each year, three companies are chosen from the ranks of Minnesota Keystone members to be honored for their exceptional giving programs. One honoree is chosen from each of three categories based on business size: small, medium and large. The honored companies stand out for their levels and methods of giving within the community, and serve as a model for others to follow.
Eligible Minnesota Keystone companies have participated in the program for at least five years. Previously honored companies may apply, as long as they have not been honored in the past five years.
All winners will be honored at the annual Minnesota Keystone Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis.
