Give your child the opportunity to discover the violin through the Suzuki method of music education. Much more than teaching a child an instrument, this philosophy encourages a supportive environment from teachers and parents. It seeks to nurture the whole child and develops confidence, self-esteem, determination, self-discipline, and life-long enjoyment of music. It is strongly recommended that parents of students age 3 and older attend the private lessons for the method to work successfully. Involvement at home is essential for student progress! Observation of lessons is welcome anytime.
Our Suzuki violin instructor, Ms. Cheri Drummond will teach two lessons per week: one private and one group class. She has extensive Suzuki training and musical experience. Private lessons are held during and after school hours and require a parent to attend. Group lessons will be during school hours. Both will begin the second week of school.
Monthly tuition for new students in primary is $125 (two 20 minute lessons). Monthly tuition for returning students is $135 (two 30 minute lessons) for primary or $120 for elementary (one 30 min. lesson). Tuition is due at the first lesson of each month. A late fee of $5 will be added after the first lesson. There will be one make-up day assigned each semester. The registration fee for new students is $40 (which includes two books, a CD and shoulder rest). The registration fee for returning students is $30). Teacher, sibling, and pre-payment discounts are available. Longer lessons are also available.
Ms. Drummond will contact you concerning the scheduling of your child’s lesson.
Payment can be made by check (payable to Cheri Drummond) or cash in the Administrative Office.
