**General Policy and Waivers

Safe Training Environment
1. DePaul K9 Academy is committed to creating a safe environment for the training and boarding of the dog(s) identified as "the dog." This includes responsible training, care, and follow-up instructions after boarding.
Acknowledgment of Unpredictable Behaviors
2. The Owner understands that all animals may exhibit unpredictable behaviors. DePaul K9 Academy is not liable for any actions of the dog that fall outside the Academy's training control.

Product and Training Limitations
1. The Owner acknowledges that recommendations for products or services are not guarantees of performance or satisfaction. Training success depends on consistent follow-up and reinforcement by the Owner at home.

2. The Owner also acknowledges that if they do not adjust their energy and behaviors at home, the dog may revert to previous behaviors.
Indemnification
3. DePaul K9 Academy agrees to indemnify and hold the Owner harmless from claims related to injury, expenses, or damages caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct by DePaul K9 Academy while the dog is in the Academy's care.
Acknowledgment of Training Tools
The Owner fully understands and agrees to the tools and techniques used in training, which may include the leash, prong collar, bark collar, remote training collar, slip lead, Pet Convincer, muzzles, flat buckle collar, gentle lead, and martingale collar.

**Payment and Cancellation Policy**

Board and Train Program Cancellation
1. A 50% deposit is required for the board and train program at the time of booking. The balance is due at the time of drop off.
2. No refunds are issued if the Owner fails to cancel at least two weeks before the scheduled start date for one, two or three board and train scheduled dates.

3. If there is an emergency or an unforseen circumstance a partial refund will be issued, depending on which board and train program you where scheduled.

Private Lessons

1. Once sessions are confirmed and placed on the scheduled, it is our policy to collect payment at time of booking.

Private Lesson Cancellation
1. Owner must notify DePaul K9 Academy within 24 hours of their scheduled session or will be responsible for their scheduled training session payment of $190.00.

2. In exceptional cases where sessions cannot continue due to unforeseen circumstances, we will freeze your sessions and you may re-schedule when it is a more convenient time for both you and your pup.
Discontinuation of Training
If the Owner decides to discontinue training after receiving approximately 50% of the services, no refund will be issued. DePaul K9 Academy reserves the right to cancel the training contract if the client disregards training advice, mistreats the dog, or fails to follow instructions. In such cases, a partial refund may be discussed based on the program enrolled.

Acknowledgements
1. I acknowledge that participation in dog obedience training carries risks for myself, my family, guests, and my dog. Some dogs may be difficult to control and could potentially cause injury, even with careful handling.

2.I understand that a muzzle may be required for my dog if there is any aggression or bite history.

3. I hereby release Carol DePaul, DePaul K9 Academy, its employees, officers, members, and agents from any liability for injury or damage suffered by myself, my dog, or my guests, including injuries resulting from interactions with other dogs.

4. I assume the risk of any injury or damage while participating in any training session or function held by DePaul K9 Academy, or while on the DePaul K9's Academy's premises or surrounding area.

5. In consideration of my acceptance into the training program, I agree to indemnify and hold DePaul K9 Academy and its representatives harmless from any claims made by my family or guests due to any actions taken by any dog, including my own, while on the Academy's grounds or surrounding area.

Photo/Video Release
I authorize DePaul K9 Academy to use, reproduce, distribute, sell, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, and publish photographs, videos, or recordings of myself and/or my dog(s) made during training or boarding. I waive any right to compensation for such uses.

Acknowledgment and Agreement
