Dear Prospective Pet Parent,

We sincerely thank you for taking the time to complete this application! This will help us to place the "purr"fect feline companion in your home.

Paws and Love, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that takes in abandoned, homeless, and unwanted cats and kittens. It is our goal to place these pets into loving, caring, and forever homes.

All of the cats and kittens available for adoption are fully vetted, which includes a complete veterinarian checkup, combo testing for FIV/FeLV, spay/neuter, deworming, flea treatment, and if over the age of 7, we also include a complete blood workup upon request.

Every family is different, and there are no right or wrong answers. We know many families have two working adults and we don't expect anyone to be a superhero and quit a day job just to be able to adopt a cat or kitten. Every family has different needs, and this application helps us identify who needs what information and what homes might make the best fit. All of your answers and information are confidential. We want to make sure you leave prepared for what life with a cat may bring.

To meet a pet, a potential adopter should fill out the adoption application, receive a homecheck, and be approved before meeting any cats. We do not use a first-come, first-serve process when adopting out cats, instead we focus on best fit for each individual cat. The process is intended to ensure a best-fit, long-term successful adoption for both the family and pet.

Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a feline from Paws and Love, Inc., but it does not guarantee I'll get a cat or kitten. Paws and Love, Inc. reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.

If this application is approved, you'll receive an email or phone call to set up a time to meet our cats.

At the time of adoption, you will be required to sign our contract, and will also be given a printout of things to remember, ie. safe introductions, safety information, etc.

We require spay/neuter before any of our cats are adopted.

Our excellent family companions will come with all vet records we have, and will all be UTD on their shots, and healthy to the best of our knowledge.

Paws and Love, Inc. will do a random home visit after completion of adoption to ensure the wellbeing of the cat. We reserve the right to remove the animal from the adoptive home if we feel the cat is not being cared for properly.
