Thank you for making the commitment to adopt an animal and give them a loving, permanent home.
The Yolo County SPCA is a foster-home based animal rescue organization, and does not have a shelter facility for you to visit.
If you are interested in meeting one of our adoptable cats please submit an application.
Interviews are conducted after review of the applications for the cat. Interviews may not be done on a first-come, first serve basis. Our focus is making the best match between our adoptable animals and the prospective adopters and not simply completing an adoption. If we feel the cat you are applying for is the best match for your family one of our adoption coordinators will contact you to set up a meeting.
Please remember that a pet is a family member and therefore, all members of the family need to be in agreement about when to adopt a pet and which pet to adopt.
In order to be seriously considered as an adopter, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have current identification showing your age and present address
- Be willing and able to provide loving attention, medical care, and lifetime stability for a cat
- Participate in an interview & pay our adoption fee
- Understand that the Yolo County SPCA reserves the right to deny any adoption application
