  • Please complete and submit the application using a computer. If an application is sent via a smartphone we don't receive it.

     

    If under the age of 18, in college, or a recent college graduate living at home, please fill out this form under the name of your consenting Parent or Guardian. We highly discourage anyone who is a recent college graduate living at home or not living at home, or young adult to apply as the lifestyle of parenting a dog requires an extensive amount of time and resources.

  • Thank you for choosing to adopt a dog. We take great pride in helping to match the right dog with the right adopter. We do our best to fully screen each application in 3 days but sometimes this can take a week to 10 days before you hear anything. Rest assured, your application is being worked on. If you feel that we somehow lost your application or it didn't go through, you can email us at peace4pawspresident@gmail.com  

    Note- the listed age and breed mix of a rescue dog is based on the best guess of the shelter.  Peace4Paws can not guarantee the accuracy of this information.

  • Are you aware that cigarette smoke contains over 4,000 chemicals, including 60 known cancer-causing (carcinogenic) compounds and 400 other toxins. These cigarette ingredients include nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide, as well as formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, arsenic, and DDT.
  • Would household smokers be able to smoke outside to protect your dog?
  • Would you be able to install some additional air purifiiers to help absorb smoking that may occur in the house when unavoidabble?
  • We cannot place a dog who has had heartworm or is currently treated for a heart murmur in a home with a smoker. We would consider placing a dog in an environment where a family member smokes if they avoid smoking in cars while the dog is inside the car as well as inside the home as it would harm your pet. If you smoke is this something you can be amenable to for your pets health?
