  • SECTION I: Discovering (or RE-Discovering) Your Spiritual Gifts

  • "I believe in all the gifts. I believe that no one gift is higher than another and that all gifts should be practiced in love and in order for the building of the kingdom of God." ~Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III

Spiritual Gifts are extraordinary grace and abilities distributed by the Holy Spirit to every believer according to God’s design.  They are given to the body of Christ for its common good and spiritual purpose.

"To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. "

If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging (exhortation), let him encourage (exhort); if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully."

    SPIRITUAL GIFTS QUESTIONNAIRE FACTS &

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The result of the questionnaire will be determined by how honestly you answer the questions, so please do not attempt to "manufacture" your results.  The more honestly and accurately you answer, the more accurate the result.

As you grow spiritually, it is very likely that your answers will change over time.  Therefore, it is recommended that you take an assessment no less than once every other year.

All Spiritual gifts are created equal, so don't become discouraged if you score low in any particular gift area.  Also, please also don’t become prideful concerning those areas where you score high. Remember, there are no superior gifts and God can use any gift through any Believer at any time…even if you do not possess the gift.

It is important to note that this is a "man-made" assessment of Spirit-given gifts; therefore, it will not be 100% accurate.  The only way to fully discover your Spiritual Gifts is to become actively involved in ministry. As you exercise your gifts in ministy, God will begin to confirm the gift(s) that you have been given.
